Beam Attenuators
A Beam Attenuator is an analog device used to control the level of transmission
in a light path. Beam Attenuators are typically used to control the level of
light to which a light-sensitive material is exposed.
Boulder Nonlinear Systems manufactures and sells liquid crystal based Beam Attenuators
on a custom designed basis for applications requiring active control of the
beam transmittance power level. Key features of our various Beam Attenuator
technologies include high purity linear polarized output, high transmission,
and maximum extinction ratio performance. Since these devices are solid state – undesirable
mechanical motion, associated noise, and vibration problems are eliminated.
Boulder Nonlinear Systems offers two different types of Beam Attenuators. Detailed
information can be found by contacting Boulder Nonlinear Systems.
